Swat Team vs Barricaded Suspect

(CHEYENNE, Wyo.)  – On October 27th, 2025, the Cheyenne Police Department/ Laramie County Sheriff’s Office Joint Swat Team was called out to the 200 block of Murray for a barricaded suspect.

At around 3:00 pm, deputies were approached by someone claiming they had a knife put to their throat during an altercation with Robert Crenshaw. This person stated they were parked in front of Crenshaw’s residence in the 200 block of Murray Road when an altercation took place. During the altercation Crenshaw pulled a knife and placed it against the reporting person’s throat. The disagreement was reported to be about an incident that had taken place a week prior regarding an E-bike and a mutual friend. 

Deputies made repeated attempts to contact Crenshaw. Crenshaw refused to come out of his home or to communicate with deputies. Cheyenne Police Department/ Laramie County Sheriff’s Office Joint Swat Team and Crisis Negotiators were called to the scene. When the Swat team arrived Crenshaw voluntarily exited his home and was taken into custody without further incident.

47-year-old Cheyenne resident, Robert Crenshaw was transported to the Laramie County Detention Center and booked in on charges of aggravated assault- threaten with weapon.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
