Hit and Run Investigation

A gray 2008 Chevrolet Impala was reported stolen between 10:26 p.m. and 11:11 p.m. from King Street near Central Elementary School. The vehicle was later recovered by Sidney Police behind a residence near 10th Avenue and Pine Street.

Investigators determined the stolen car had been involved in several hit-and-run incidents prior to its recovery. The department is assessing the extent of the damage and encourages anyone who discovered new or unexplained vehicle damage to report it to police.

Sidney Police are asking residents with security or doorbell camera footage on King Street near Central Elementary to check for any suspicious activity or individuals walking in the area between 10:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
