(CHADRON, Neb.) — The City of Chadron Police Department has notified the public that an individual connected to the May 12, 2023 Chadron Federal Credit Union bank robbery has been arrested.
The bank had been robbed by an unknown male subject. The male walked in to the bank and had a conversation with a teller before drawing a handgun from his hooded sweatshirt and demanding money. After receiving the money, the suspect exited the bank and went northeast on foot. The area was canvased for the suspect and potential evidence.
On Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, law enforcement authorities in Texas arrested Robert L. Castellon Jr., 31-years-old, on an arrest warrant issued out of Dawes County Nebraska for the offenses of Robbery a Class II Felony, Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony a Class I Felony and Terroristic Threats A Class III Felony. Bond was set at 10 percent of $200,000.
The Chadron Police Department received assistance with this case from numerous law enforcement agencies including the Nebraska State Patrol, Federal Bureau of Investigations and law enforcement agencies in Texas.
