HIRING; Dispatchers

(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — Be the voice and make an impact. The Scotts Bluff County Communications Center is hiring dispatchers. An eligibility test is scheduled for July 28 with an anticipated August hire date.

911 Dispatcher Candidate testing will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, to establish an eligibility list for the anticipated August hiring period. 911 Dispatchers receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for law enforcement, fire, EMS, and rescue agencies while operating emergency communication equipment and documenting calls.

Preferred Skills:
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Team-oriented with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime

Requirements:
• Must be at least 19 years old
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a background check, written test, interview, and drug test
