(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — The Scottsbluff Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run traffic crash that occurred in the Maverik convenience store parking lot, located at 920 West 36th Street in Scottsbluff.
The crash occurred on June 9, 2026, at 12:23 p.m.
The suspect vehicle is a white or silver Ford F-350 flatbed pickup. Video shows the driver backing the truck across the parking lot and into the rear of a minivan, causing damage to the right side of the minivan’s tailgate, bumper, and taillight.
The license plate number cannot be read from the video. It appears to be a Nebraska license plate from either 21 County or 71 County.
The driver of the pickup is a white male with reddish hair, a beard, and a mustache.
There is previous crash damage to the left front (driver’s side) of the vehicle. There should also be new crash damage on the right side of the vehicle where part of the flatbed struck the minivan while backing up. However, this damage cannot be seen in the video.
