Federal Warrants Executed

(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — Early on July 15, SWAT activities were reported in Scotts Bluff and Morrill Counties, focusing on high-profile criminals with felony warrants. Operations occurred in Scottsbluff, Bayard, and Gering, led by local sheriffs. Residents were advised to stay clear of the ongoing police operations, with more updates expected from the County Attorney’s Office.

1:12 p.m. ** SWAT Activity in Scotts Bluff & Morrill Counties excuted as early as 3:30 a.m. this morning.

Panhandle Scanner News Team is in close contact with Authorities that excuted high profile criminals with felony warrants in Scottsbluff, Bayard & Gering in the early morning hours of July 15. Media personnel Cody Thomas with the Nebraska State Patrol tells Panhandle Scanner that Sheriff Mark Overman & Sheriff Brown with Scotts Bluff County Sheriffs Office are taking the lead on this warrant execution assignment, but more information is expected to be released by the County Attorney’s Office at a later time!

9:42 a.m. ** New report- 17th st & 14th ave in Scottsbluff, NE have SWAT operations ongoing at this time, PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF ALL FEDERAL OPERATIONS and Emergency Personnel!

7:42 a.m. ** SWAT in Gering right now

Residents near the 1800 block of 3rd Street in Gering are reporting multiple police vehicles with officers in full gear with weapons. One of the vehicles was reportedly out of Lancaster County. Please STAY CLEAR of ALL police activity.

Developing early this morning in Bayard, NE; with the tensions of more SWAT activity, followers were reporting more SWAT activity

Developing overnight we recieved another report of heavy police and SWAT activity in Gering, NE; We will pull scanner traffic with details-

7:03 a.m. ** SWAT INCIDENT- Scottsbluff, NE

Scanner followers are reporting a SWAT incident ongoing in Scottsbluff right now near West 20th/Ave D—

We also just received a report that there is a large police presence on East Overland as well. Some are reporting a helicopter overhead.

One follower reported that she lives near Ave D and she woke up to screaming;

Sonia Sena At 5:30 am some lady screaming asking for help and next thing I know swat was there whoever he was not there took off fast. Couldn’t find him. Arrested someone from there and the police are gone now.

Dodie Prohs Gering had sirens and a plane circling at 6:15 (around the Dome Rock Manor area)

Following multiple months of investigation by WING and partner agencies, law enforcement served multiple search and arrest warrants beginning in the early morning hours Wednesday.

Due to the nature of the crimes and weapons involved, the warrants were served by the Scotts Bluff County SWAT team, the Nebraska State Patrol SWAT team, and the US Marshal’s Metro Fugitive Task Force.  All the warrants were served without incident. The warrants were served in Scottsbluff, Gering, and Bayard NE.

The Scottsbluff and Gering Police Departments, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, the Nebraska State Patrol including the Air Wing, Homeland Security Investigations agents, and Regional West Ambulance Service also provided personnel for the operation.

Seven individuals were taken into custody.

Adults arrested:

Preston Torres-Isles, age 18, charged with possession of a machine gun.

Rochne Gukeisen, age 19, charged with possession of a machine gun.

Five juveniles were arrested (three 17, one 16, one 15) and all are in custody.
