Tuesday Aug 18 2026 – Scanner News

Yesterday morning, scanner traffic was a little bit scary when we heard that a six-year-old male at Morrill Elementary was unresponsive after having seizures. The call came in at 8:07 a.m., active seizure, not responding to medical staff. Multiple pages went out to local EMS before Regional 16 and 2 both arrived around 8.26 a.m. Finally, after 40 minutes of unresponsiveness, the young boy woke up and was talking to medical personnel.

Just after 1 p.m., a traffic stop in Scottsbluff around 11th and 5th Avenue occurred where a taser was deployed on the subject. Regional 1 responded and transported one 20 to 30-year-old female with a probe in the back of her head and other injuries. Possible drug use, security requested at the ER.

Just before 6 p.m., scanner traffic indicated a 10-45 or single-vehicle injury accident on the far reaches of North 385. Sounds like the accident may have occurred from a pursuit that started in South Dakota and ended in Nebraska with property damage and one male flown to South Dakota and one female transported by ambulance. The vehicle was described as a Subaru that was almost gone. Scanner traffic indicated that it started in South Dakota and ended on the Nebraska side with property damage.
