A 13-year-old boy was injured Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle while crossing East 20th Street at 3rd Avenue in Scotts Bluff. The juvenile was transported by ambulance to Regional West Medical Center for treatment, and about 15 minutes later, officers located the Kia and stopped it in the 1900 block of Avenue K. The driver, identified as 18-year-old Daneah Gomez-Vallejo of Scottsbluff, was arrested following an investigation and booked into the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an injury accident.
