(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — A 19-year-old Scottsbluff man faces six misdemeanor charges following an early morning incident Sept. 30 that allegedly involved property damage, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence and resisting arrest.
Eli W. Jackson was arrested around 2:24 a.m. after an investigation that began at WTT, 822 S. Beltline Highway W. in Scottsbluff.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed in Scotts Bluff County Court by Scottsbluff Police Officer Keaton Bissonnette, officers responded to WTT around 2:22 a.m. to assist sheriff’s deputies.
An employee reported seeing a maroon vehicle back into a guardrail surrounding one of the gas pumps. When the employee attempted to get the driver to stop, the vehicle left the parking lot and traveled southbound on Avenue I at a high rate of speed.
Bissonnette reported observing fresh dent damage to the guardrail surrounding the gas pump.
Shortly afterward, Gering police located a vehicle matching the description. The vehicle had rear bumper damage consistent with backing into the guardrail, and the driver was identified as Jackson.

- Refusal to submit to a preliminary breath test — Class 5 misdemeanor
