The crash occurred Oct. 22, 2026, approximately three-quarters of a mile west of South Buffalo Road. A 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer was traveling west on West South River Road when the driver lost control while navigating a curve, causing the vehicle to enter the south ditch and roll multiple times.

Five people, ranging in age from 14 to 18, were inside the vehicle. Four occupants were ejected during the rollover, while the driver, who was wearing a seat belt, remained inside.

Deputies arrived at the scene and provided aid to the injured occupants. All five were transported by North Platte Fire and Rescue to Great Plains Health for treatment.
