Back for Round Two

(GERING, Neb.) — A local woman was sentenced to jail time after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct following back-to-back incidents outside a Gering business.

According to an affidavit filed by Officer Brown, officers were dispatched at approximately 2:53 p.m. Oct. 19 to Fresh Foods, located at 1270 10th St., after store personnel reported that Raven D. Polk, 39, had approached the rear entrance and engaged in a verbal altercation with an employee.

Police noted that Polk had received a citation for possessing an open alcohol container at the same address about 90 minutes earlier. According to the report, Polk expressed anger over the initial citation during her second interaction with officers.

After a preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol concentration of 0.155, Polk was taken into custody on a disorderly conduct charge.

In Scotts Bluff County Court, Judge Mickey sentenced Polk to two days in jail, with credit for three days served, following her guilty plea. She was also assessed court costs.
