Late-Night Outburst Lands Man in Jail

(GERING, Neb.) — A 35-year-old Scottsbluff man was sentenced Thursday in Scotts Bluff County Court to five days in jail after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.

Adrian Joseph Solis, 35, pled guilty to an infraction charge of disorderly conduct, according to court documents.

Officers responded at approximately 2:56 a.m. Nov. 2 to the 1900 block of Fifth Avenue after a caller reported a man screaming and yelling outside a residence. Officers located Solis in a park across the street, where he was wearing black clothing, screaming and stomping his feet, according to a probable cause affidavit.

After Solis initially failed to follow verbal commands to raise his hands, officers placed him in handcuffs and transported him to the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.

Judge Mickey sentenced Solis to five days in the Scotts Bluff County Jail, with credit for four days already served. The court also allowed Solis to serve the remaining $49 in court costs in jail at the statutory rate due to his inability to pay.
