This is what we heard or witnessed Monday, March 13…
Theft of firearms from a vehicle.
Vehicle theft in Scottsbluff, Avenue A.
Avenue E someone breaking into a van.
STOLEN TRUCK from one of our Scanner Admins! Be on lookout for a 1996 Ford F350 with a Dump Bed and Red V-Plow Snow Blade.
Gas drive off? A very good question was brought up in the INSIDERS… How could someone drive off without paying these days? We thought all pumps were pre-pay. Evidently not!
Possible stolen vehicle recovery… Not sure if it was the same one from Avenue A, or one of the many others that have been occuring lately. We are going to have to start a spreadsheet to keep track of all of them…
Gering ems requested to Pacific Boulevard. 14 year old having allergic reaction, EpiPen not working.
Guy is trying to grill and 2 dogs keep charging him.
Ambulance headed South from hospital… Valley and Rescue 1 at Menards… En route with pediatric head injury. Scanner traffic indicated that wood fell on her head from about 8 feet.
Someone shooting Tannerite in Morrill. Look that one up… Tannerite is fun… BOOM!
Eye witnesses reported multiple State Troopers and Mitchell PD seen behind a white pickup close to the weigh station between Mitchell and Morrill.
Gering fire called out. Female took lots of pills. Please pray for this situation. There may have been traffic earlier in the day and possibly an indication on social media. Please be diligent and and aware of the signs of depression or suicidal thoughts and report anything you see or hear. It could save a life.
Carbon Monoxide Detector on 11th St in Gering. Advised to get out of the house.
4 patrol cars and 2 ambulances spotted on HWY 26, unsure if this was related to the deer accident.
One of our animal complaints was about the Deer hit on Hwy 26 by Mitchell. Prayers for the pregnant female and two small children. she wants them checked out.
Mom and brother physically fighting. She hit him with a broom. Son believed to have gone to jail. We’ll have to wait for the follow up story on this, if there is one.
We also heard several traffic stops and medical calls for assistance.
By the time you read this you may have heard that a former local Nebraska State Trooper, Brandon Dolezal was sentenced to prison for 20-40 years after sexually assaulting a 13 year old child in the first degree in a Sarpy County Court Monday. The 25 year old sexual predator has a long history of unremorseful behavior including a sentencing on April 3 in Scotts Bluff County on six more counts of sexual deviation, and he is also facing six counts of sexual assault on a minor in Douglas County with that case scheduled for a pretrial hearing on April 13.
