Troops Return Home

(Scottsbluff, Nebr.) — A Boeing 737-500 arrived at Donald E. Overman Airport to drop off troops who have been deployed for the last year Thursday morning. A big ceremony took place at the airport as families gathered for the reunion.

God Bless our Troops!

Boeing 737-500 lands at Helig Field on Friday

Interesting Note from an Airport Employee : The runways are approximately 10” thick. Back when Frontier flew out of here, Hessler Builders poured new runways, we would dump 4 cement trucks at a time with 8 yards per truck and we would move about 10’ with the paving machine. Early 80’s.

Red Flag Warnings Continue

Nebraska State Patrol Drone photo

Another day with Red Flag Warnings across essentially all of Nebraska with fire danger remaining high.

NSP Drone pilots are assisting fire response in multiple locations across the state. These are images from the McCann Fire in Cherry County yesterday.

There is a tremendous team effort ongoing to respond to these fires. Thanks to Nebraska Emergency Management Agency Nebraska National Guard Nebraska Forest Service and an incredible amount of local volunteer firefighters for their tireless work.

MISSING PERSONS

If YOU are MISSING a loved one, reach out to us and we will put them on our Missing Persons pages and broadcasts.

We have reason to believe the runaway Rosie White Plume is currently living in Manderson, South Dakota. There is recent social media traffic indicating she is alive and in no immediate danger. However, to our knowledge, she is still listed as missing.
