Air Link + MMFD

Looks like Air Link and the Minatare Melbeta Fire Department are very well color coordinated with their new ambulance. Air Link took the time to show some appreciation in the following post Thursday.

Minatare had posted this back in June…

Blue Angels in Lincoln

The Nebraska State Patrol reminded us of the air show this week and provided a link for parking and other information.

A Note from Offutt Air Base

Summertime is here again! One of the most frequent questions we get around this time is, “are you having an air show?”

Even though Offutt AFB doesn’t have one scheduled until summer 2024, we’re thrilled to be supporting the Guardians of Freedom Airshow in Lincoln THIS summer! The U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the Navy’s flight demonstration team, will be headlining the event happening Aug. 26 & 27.

Head on over to their Facebook page or website for more info:

A Pirate Walks Into A Bar…

A pirate walks into a bar with a paper towel tucked partially under his hat.

The bartender says to him, “Oi, what’s that?”

The pirate responds, “Aargggh, I’ve got a bounty on me head.”

Bounty 8 double rolls are currently $14.99!

Reminder from NDOT

It’s going to be a busy weekend across the state! Friday is the opening day of the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island and the Lincoln Airshow begins on Saturday!

Be prepared for an increase in traffic around those cities and check 511 Nebraska for the latest road closures and information. Additionally, remember to always buckle up!

How Hot Do You Feel?

The thermometer might read 90-95 degrees, but how hot is it under that shirt you’re wearing?

NWS out of Kansas City did an interesting analysis of surface temperatures of different colored clothing.
