It is hard to believe we’ve gone almost an entire year without Tyler Goodrich. We miss him so much. As the anniversary approaches, we have a request.
On November 3rd, do something fun and special to honor Tyler. Gather with your friends or family, eat at a fun restaurant, try a new dessert, go for a run, play volleyball with your kids or friends, have a mocktail (or cocktail) and raise a glass to Tyler.
We’d love to see how everyone honors Tyler, so please share with us here. We plan to do the same. And we are going to do our best to have some fun together. He’d like that!

There are some very interesting basic facts about this case. Please do all you can to help locate Tyler. The family is cooperating with law enforcement and is asking for your help.
- There was a verbal disturbance at 7:45 pm on the 3rd where police responded, but no charges were filed.
- Tyler works for the Nebraska Department of Corrections, and some of his friends even came with dogs to help search the area.
- Tyler’s husband filed a Missing Persons report on Nov 4 at 9:35 am
- Tyler’s husband, Marshall Vagel, (spelling given by LEO to media on video) is no longer cooperating with law enforcement.
- Tyler missed a speaking engagement on Saturday morning as well as a race that he was scheduled to run.

Tyler Goodrich’s Husband Halts Cooperation with Law Enforcement in Disappearance Case
(Lincoln, Neb.) – On Monday, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence of Tyler Goodrich, following the retention of an attorney by his family. This development has sparked a public exchange between the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and the Goodrich family, though few substantial updates have been disclosed regarding the investigation into the disappearance of the 35-year-old, which was reported to law enforcement on Saturday.
Tyler Goodrich was last sighted at his residence in the 1000 block of West Burnham Street around 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin revealed that deputies had previously conducted multiple searches of the home before the search warrant was granted. The sheriff’s office decided to obtain the search warrant after Goodrich’s husband, Marshall Vogel, conveyed to investigators that neither he nor his children would cooperate further with them.
Vogel informed the sheriff’s office that they had retained an attorney following a meeting at the Hall of Justice on Monday, as stated by Houchin.
Houchin did not specify the exact purpose of the investigators’ search of the family’s residence.
Sanford Pollack, the attorney hired by Vogel after the third search of their home, stated in a message sent to the Journal Star and other media outlets that the sheriff’s office had seized Vogel’s phone, the children’s phones, his personal laptop, and work laptop. In a subsequent interview with the Journal Star, Pollack mentioned that he had instructed Vogel not to provide any more statements to law enforcement. Pollack also requested that the sheriff’s office refrain from interviewing the children without his approval.
However, in his public statement, Pollack emphasized that he had not conveyed that Mr. Vogel would refuse to cooperate with the investigation.
Houchin responded by saying, “To say they’re being overly cooperative would be a stretch on his part.”
In an email to Pollack, which was publicly shared in response to the dispute, Investigator Jeremy Schwarz stated that Vogel was neither under arrest nor a suspect in any crime. Nevertheless, he indicated that investigative leads, including interviews with Vogel and his family, would still be pursued.
Pollack implied that law enforcement’s actions had led the family to believe Vogel was being treated as a person of interest.
In his letter to the sheriff’s office, Pollack made reference to a female “accuser” but did not specify her identity or the nature of her accusation. He requested the preservation of all communication with individuals interviewed or providing statements.
Houchin stressed that the primary objective of the Sheriff’s Office is to locate Tyler Goodrich.
The back-and-forth on Tuesday did not offer significant insights into the circumstances surrounding Goodrich’s disappearance.
The Lincoln Police Department and personnel from the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, which has an office in close proximity to the family’s residence, conducted another search of the area on Tuesday. Houchin noted that this search did not yield any noteworthy findings.
Goodrich’s phone was last traced to his residence at 7:41 p.m. on Friday and has remained inactive since, according to Houchin.
The sheriff’s office was initially called to the residence by Vogel, who reported a disturbance around that time. However, when deputies arrived, Goodrich was no longer present, and there was initially no indication of a crime.
Vogel subsequently reported Goodrich as missing on Saturday.
Houchin stated that the sheriff’s office is considering all possible scenarios regarding Goodrich’s whereabouts.
