The North Platte Police Department is excited to announce a job opening for a Telecommunicator. This is a challenging position that involves answering 911 calls and dispatching law enforcement, fire, and rescue personnel.

Applicants must be able to type 40 words per minute, pass a background investigation, and possess good communication skills. Other qualifications required for this Telecommunicator job opening are:

– Ability to work under stress, to think clearly and act quickly in emergencies, and to be cognizant of the safety of officers and others.
– Ability to speak clearly and concisely.
– Ability to maintain confidentiality.
– Ability to talk and hear in person, by telephone, two-way radio, and monitor alarms.

This position involves working 12-hour shifts, resulting in 3 days off every week. The salary range is $21.83 to $27.29 per hour and full benefits are included.
