• Out-of-State Certified Officers will need to complete the Nebraska Law Enforcement Officer Reciprocity Certification

• Former Certified Nebraska Officers with 2-10 years of non-active law enforcement status must complete the Nebraska Reactivation Program at Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center (NLETC) as required by Title 79, Chapter 4

• Upon completion of the Law Enforcement Officer Reciprocity Certification or the Nebraska Reactivation Certification Program, along with the Field Training Program, the officer will be eligible for lateral placement and benefits.

• Candidates will be allowed to complete the accelerated Field Training Program. The time frame will be determined on the individual candidate.

• Vacation Accrual is based on prior Law Enforcement service;
o 0-5 Years: 80 hours accrued per year
o 6-10 Years: 112 hours accrued per year
o 11-15 Years: 136 hours accrued per year
o 16+ Years: 160 hours accrued per year

• Compensation based on law enforcement experience;
o 1-6 Years commensurate with the pay scale
o 7+ Years will be considered seven years of experience

**Eligible for Step 8 on completion of probationary period.
