Hiring; Ogallala Police Department

(OGALLALA, Neb.) — The City of Ogallala Police Department is accepting applications for the position of POLICE OFFICER.

Starting pay for certified officers is $24.00 hr., and non-certified officers at $20.42 hr. increased to $24.00 hr. upon certification as a Nebraska Certified Officer.

Valid certification needs to be presented with application. Applicants with a valid Nebraska Law Enforcement Certification or certification in another state that meets the reciprocity requirements of the NLETC will be eligible for lateral entry and eligible for Education\Training\Experience Bonus of $3,000. $1,500 paid upon completion of the Field Training Program, $1,500 after the completion of 1 year.

Requirements are: Must be a U.S. Citizen; at least 21 years of age; a high school diploma or equivalent; a valid driver’s license; be of good character and have no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions. If applicable received an honorable separation from the military service.
