Beer Truck Driver DUI

(KIMBALL, Neb.) — On 02/23/2024 at approximately 1430 hours, the Kimball Police Department was dispatched to the Woody’s Liquor store to conduct a welfare check on a Coors delivery truck driver. It was reported that the truck driver had been parked in the back of the establishment for an extended period of time and seemed “dazed and confused”.

Officers responded to Woody’s and what began as a welfare check quickly turned into a DUI investigation, resulting in the arrest of the truck driver.

Joshua Kirchhefer (29) was arrested for being in violation of the following:

-Driving under the influence of alcoholic liquor 2nd offense
– Implied consent to submit to chemical test refusal

-KPD

***All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law***
