Drone Assisted Rescue with Scanner Audio

(MORRILL COUNTY, Neb.) — The original scanner call came in after midnight stating that a concerned mother was tracking her son walking on Hwy 385 near mm 100 via gps after the car he and his friend were in became high centered. She lost their signal and called in for assistance.

Troopers responded and were not able to locate the individuals at first.

That’s when the Nebraska State Patrol and the Morrill County Sheriff stepped up their game plan and called in additional resources.

The search lasted through the early morning hours, and finally, the subjects were found after hours of searching.

Early this morning, Sergeant Lassen responded to a call for a drone deployment to assist the Morrill County Sheriff’s Office in locating two missing individuals.

Despite challenges like difficult terrain, Sergeant Lassen skillfully deployed a thermal drone, locating the subjects who had become lost after their vehicle got stuck.

Sergeant Lassen’s quick thinking and expertise, the subjects were found, and a potential crisis averted.
