Man Tresspassed from Goshen Schools

(TORRINGTON, Wyo.) — A man who didn’t seem to belong was caught in Lincoln Elementary after kindergarten graduation Monday, May 20th. He did not check in, did not give his name, walked around and left after stating that he was supposed to meet someone there.

Wednesday May 22nd, during Lincoln Elementary’s field day, a second incident happened with the same male. Witnesses reported that he parked in the bus turnaround and tried to enter through the side doors of the school. School staff confronted him and told him to check in at the front. He was pulled over and allowed to leave.

This man could not give a specific reason for his visit. He had provided a false name, no ID and was seen with a puppy, roses and a suit case. Although these factors are seemingly innocent, these factors as a whole are concerning.

Panhandle Scanner can not confirm when authorities were notified, however at 8:30 a.m. today, an offical press release was provided and parents were notified of the incidents.

Many parents were upset with the timeing of the notice saying that they should have been notified immediately. One post has been shared several times with a name and photo of the man. This poster appears to be from the school bulliten board.

  • Name: Clint Abbott
  • Vehicle plate: 7-6704
  • Dark blue 2013 Ford F-150

The post also ends with an alert:

Be on the lookout for this man as summer is here and we will all be running around ball fields and parks. I thought everyone should be aware of what is happening in our community.

They have a valid point. The days of “mind-your-own-business” are long gone. Everyone needs to be aware of their surroundings and watch for signs of trafficking.
