Speeding Leads to Arrest

(KIMBALL, Neb.) — What started out as a simple speeding ticket, landed Dmytro Dolinko in jail. On June 21, 2024 the Kimball County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop for speeding.

Dolinko refused to sign the citation. When receiving a citation from a police officer, you must sign it. It is not an admission of guilt but rather acknowledgment that the citation was received. This is a state law. When the officer explained this to Dolinko, he still refused to sign. Dolinko was then arrested for refusal to sign the citation after being asked multiple times.

Slow down and Buckle Up!

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
