(COLUMBUS, Neb.) — Record time was made when Columbus High School was evacuated and then repopulated in just under 20 minutes after a fire prompted the response.

“CHS Parents and Guardians:
At 12:36 pm today the fire alarm sounded at CHS. Students were evacuated and a microwave fire was contained by Columbus Fire Department.
Students returned to class at 12:54pm. All students and staff are safe.”
