Car Chase and Drug Seizure

(ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo.) — Another successful arrest was registered by the Wyoming highway patrol after a high-speed chase.

Here is a report from them on an incident that happened in early October.

🚓 Car chase and drug seizure! 🚓

On the afternoon of October 1st, a Trooper in the Rock Springs area attempted to stop this vehicle for a moving violation.

A patrol K9 was deployed during the stop which alerted to the odor of narcotics emitting from the vehicle. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle, but instead fled from the Trooper and a pursuit ensued.

Another Trooper successfully deployed spike strips which disabled the vehicle. The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The driver was apprehended without further incident.

A search of the vehicle revealed 49.4 grams of Fentynal pills, 23.4 grams of Fentanyl powder, and 11.6 ounces of marijuana.

The driver was booked into the Sweetwater Detention Center with three felony possession of controlled substance charges and several moving violations.
