Dec 4; Gering Swimming Pool Public Meeting

The City of Gering, along with Miller and Associates Consulting Engineers, P.C., invites the public to attend the Gering Swimming Pool Public Input Meeting on Wednesday December 4th, 2024 at 6:30 PM in the City of Gering Council Chambers at 1025 P Street in Gering. 

The public is strongly urged to attend and learn about the findings from the Gering Swimming Pool Feasibility Study. 

Community members will have the opportunity to engage with the study’s results and participate in shaping the future of the Gering Pool. Items to be discussed are the feedback from the Gering Swimming Pool Input Survey, showcasing the community’s priorities and expectations, reviewing deficiencies and challenges observed during the 2024 swim season and highlighting areas needing immediate attention. Looking into the future, the consultants will offer a look into the potential improvements and expansions for the pool facilities to better serve Gering residents. 

“For decades, the Gering Swimming Pool has been a place where families and individuals have come to have fun and socially connect, recreate, exercise, and learn lifesaving swimming skills.  I encourage the public to prioritize attending the meeting on Wednesday, December 4th to learn the state of the Gering Pool and to be a part of creating a vision for what the Gering Pool needs to be for the community in the future,” stated Amy Seiler, Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Gering.
