(NORTH PLATTE, Neb.) — The North Platte Police Department is currently hiring for the position of Telecommunicator. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that involves answering 911 emergency calls and dispatching law enforcement, fire, and rescue personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Answering and managing 911 emergency calls

Dispatching law enforcement, fire, and rescue teams

Communicating effectively in high-pressure situations

Qualifications:

Strong communication skills

Ability to handle high-stress situations

Must successfully pass a background investigation

Work Schedule & Benefits:

12-hour shifts, providing 3 days off per week

Competitive wage: $23.49 – $29.72 per hour
