Kimball P.D. Announcement

(KIMBALL, Neb.) — The Kimball Nebraska Police Department recently made an announcement about a change in their facebook comment policy.

⚠️Kimball Police Department Facebook Comment Policy Update⚠️

Effective immediately, the Kimball Police Department will no longer allow comments on our Facebook posts unless we are specifically seeking public feedback. This decision was made due to repeated violations of our posting guidelines.

Our goal has always been to enhance communication with the public and foster respectful interactions. Unfortunately, ongoing issues have made it necessary to limit comments to ensure a constructive and professional environment.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage residents to reach out via direct message or by calling our department with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your continued support as we work to serve the Kimball community.

-KPD

Please note that we fully cover all activity from the Kimball County area, so you will be able to comment on KPD stories on Panhandle Scanner, as long as you continue to abide by our policies.

Since we are a private company, unlike public agencies, we have no problem banning those who violate our policies. Being a follower and / or having access to Panhandle Scanner is a privilege, not a right.

We agree with their decision and believe the Kimball Police Department turned off comments to avoid having to ban people from their page. We, on the other hand, have no problem with that.
