Accident Assistance Needed

(MORRILL COUNTY, Neb.) — On August 16, 2025 at 5:01 p.m., Morrill County Sheriff’s Deputies, the Bridgeport Fire Department, and Morrill County ALS responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on County Road 104 west of County Road 91. Deputies on scene discovered one female occupant still occupying the vehicle and one male witness on scene.

An investigation discovered that the female driver was east bound on County Road 104. She crested the hill and met an oncoming vehicle that was driving over the center of the roadway. The female swerved to miss the oncoming vehicle, lost control of the vehicle, exited the roadway into the north ditch, re-entered the roadway, and again exited the roadway into the north ditch traveling sideways. It was at this time that the vehicle began to overturn, and the vehicle rolled at least three times according to the male witness on scene.

The female driver was only able to identify the oncoming vehicle as a small, red car. The male subject who was traveling west bound was unable to identify the style of car due to distance from the accident.

The small, red car failed to stop after the accident. The Morrill County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from the public to identify the second party involved in the accident. If you or someone you know has information relating to the accident, please contact the non-emergency line at 308-262-0408.

The female occupant was transported to the Morrill County Community Hospital by Morrill County ALS.

The Morrill County Sheriff’s Office extends its gratitude to the male witness who stopped to render aid and assist emergency responders. As well as, to the swift and professional response by the Bridgeport Fire Department, Morrill County ALS, and Red Beard Towing.
