(YORK COUNTY – Neb.) “One Calf 10-15” may have been the call, but don’t worry, it was only temporary custody. ![]()
We sincerely appreciate the flexibility of our law enforcement officers across the state of Nebraska. They are faced with virtually unlimited potential scenarios on a daily basis.
Here’s a really good example from the York County Sheriff’s Office.
From York County Nebraska Sheriff’s Office
“Some days it’s traffic stops, some days it’s chasing down suspects… and some days it’s cows on the run.
That’s right—your York County Deputies traded in their badges for cowboy hats last night and helped wrangle up a young escape artist who thought the grass was greener on the other side of the fence.
Being a Deputy means you never quite know what the day will bring—but we’re always ready to serve (even if it moos back).”

Thank you, York County Deputies, and all of our officers and troopers out there! – PS
