Man Arrested for Stabbing Another Individual During Dispute on I-80
(SEWARD, Neb.) — On Thursday, September 18, 2025, at approximately 2:30 pm the Seward County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call about two subjects fighting on the eastbound shoulder near MM 380 on Interstate 80.
When deputies arrived on scene, they observed one male with noticeable lacerations and puncture wounds, another with a noticeable injury to his face, and a third individual standing nearby. These individuals were identified as Carlos L. Rincon- Gonzalez (DOB: 8/12/2004) of Venezuela, Erick Araujo (DOB: 9/27/2000) of Venezuela and Jhoiberth A. Noguerabermudez (DOB: 12/16/1995) of Mexico. Responding deputies provided first aid to both of the injured parties until medical arrived.

The two men were both treated at Bryan West with non- life threatening injuries. Araujo was cited with 3rd Degree Assault and released. Rincon- Gonzalez was lodged in the Seward County Detention Center on the charges of: Attempt of a class 1B Felony (Murder), Use Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, and Assault by Mutual Consent.
The incident is being investigated by the Seward County Sheriff’s Office. Nebraska State Patrol and Milford Fire & Rescue also assisted on the scene.
