Body Discovered Near Shooting Range

(ALLIANCE, Neb.) — On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at approximately 7:55 a.m., Officer Parker Dahlberg arrived at the Alliance Police Department’s gun range to begin setup for a scheduled training day.

Upon arrival, Officer Dahlberg observed that the gate leading to the range was open. While this is not unusual, as multiple entities have authorized access to the roadway for adjoining properties, he proceeded to drive toward the range and noticed a vehicle parked along the access road that runs parallel to the range.

Using binoculars, Officer Dahlberg observed what appeared to be a male lying in the roadway. He immediately proceeded to the location and discovered a deceased male with a gunshot wound. The individual had been deceased for some time.

The evidence on the scene is consistent with a suicide. The coroner was notified, and next of kin have been informed. Due to the sensitive nature of the incident, no further information will be released.
