(TORRINGTON, Wyo.) — A semi-tanker was involved in a rollover accident in Torrington, Wyoming Wednesday, November 5, 2025. The intersection of Main Street and Highway 26 was shut down for a couple of hours while they worked to get everything cleared. No injuries were reported.
A comment on the Torrington Police Department post suggested that this may have happened if the tanker took a turn too quickly causing the liquid inside the tanker to shift too much. However, the accident is still under investigation.

We are investigating a rollover accident involving a semi-tanker at the Main Street and Highway 26 intersection.
The accident does not involve any hazardous materials, and there is no risk to our community that we are aware of at this time.
Traffic will be impacted at the intersection for some time. Please use an alternate route.



***UPDATE 12:15pm***
First Responders are continuing to work to maintain traffic safety and clear the intersection of Main Street and Highway 26 in Torrington after a semi-tanker overturned at the intersection. The driver of the semi was transported to the hospital for treatment. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
The process of emptying the tanker and removing it from the roadway is expected to take approximately two hours. Traffic is significantly impacted at this time, and we highly recommend using an alternate route.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation related to the accident and will release any additional information.
