Vehicle Pursuit Ends Safely

(CHADRON, Neb.) — Chadron Police Department was called for mutual aid in a vehicle pursuit of a drunken driver through town.

At approximately 11:36 a.m. on November 5, 2025, officers from the Chadron Police Department assisted the Oglala Sioux Tribe (OST) Police in a pursuit that entered the city limits of Chadron.

OST Police advised that the suspect vehicle was driven by an intoxicated individual who had reportedly struck a female with the vehicle and was fleeing from law enforcement. Chadron officers responded to the area of Beaver Valley Road, where they observed a black Ford pickup entering the city limits. The vehicle traveled through several city streets—including Bartlett Road, North Pine Street, and 1st Street—before exiting Chadron via Beaver Valley Road.

Throughout the pursuit, the suspect failed to comply with officers’ commands to stop. Speeds within city limits remained between 35–40 mph, and there was no immediate danger to the public. Chadron officers assisted to help ensure the safety of other motorists during the incident.

The suspect was ultimately apprehended by OST Police near the South Dakota–Nebraska state line.
