Stolen Property Found During Traffic Stop

(MORRILL COUNTY, Neb.) — On November 16, 2025 at approximately 12:54 AM, Morrill County Deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 385 for expired registration. The driver was identified as Gordon R Hernandez.

A records check conducted by the Deputies on their in car computers showed Hernandez’s driving privileges had been revoked in Nebraska since 2012. Hernandez was arrested for driving during a revocation period. During an inventory of the vehicle prior to being towed, Deputies located drug paraphernalia containing residual amounts of a controlled substance.

Deputies were later advised that the vehicle was possibly stolen. The Deputies worked with the Scottsbluff Police Department to determine that the vehicle had been reported as stolen from Scottsbluff in the evening of November 15, 2025.

Hernandez is charged with Felony Possession of Stolen Property, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Driving During a Revocation Period, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and No Valid Registration.

All individuals arrested are innocent until probable guilty in a court of law.
