DUI Leads to Possession Arrest

(MORRILL COUNTY, Nebraska) — Deputies approached a parked vehicle that didn’t belong and discovered the driver was obviously impaired.

On Saturday, June 6th, 2026, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Morrill County Deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in a residential area.

Deputies contacted Tallon Bayless and observed signs of alcohol impairment. Bayless declined to participate in field sobriety testing and refused a preliminary breath test.

Based on the investigation, deputies arrested Bayless for suspected driving under the influence and refusal to submit to preliminary breath testing.

During a search incident to arrest, deputies located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on Bayless’ person. The substance yielded a presumptive positive result for methamphetamine.

Bayless was transported to the Morrill County Jail for processing.

The Morrill County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to keeping dangerous drugs off our streets and maintaining safe roadways. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activity to law enforcement.
