Community Rallies Around Jeff Kilthau

A local family is facing a difficult and uncertain road ahead, and friends and members of the community are coming together to offer support following a serious accident that left Jeff Kilthau with significant injuries.

Kilthau was seriously injured in a rollover accident near Julesburg, Colorado. He was life-flighted to Loveland for emergency treatment, where he was found to have multiple fractures involving his hip, spine, ribs and both shoulders. He also underwent emergency surgery to have his spleen removed.

With extensive medical care and rehabilitation ahead, Kilthau and his family are preparing for a long recovery. Along with the physical and emotional challenges, the family is facing the financial strain that often accompanies a serious injury, including medical expenses, travel, household costs and time away from normal routines.

In an effort to help ease some of that burden, JAY’s Duct Cleanings LLC is hosting a fundraiser giveaway with three prizes.

The first-place winner will receive a free duct cleaning, second place will receive a free dryer vent cleaning, and third place will receive a $50 gift certificate.

Entries are $10 for one entry, $20 for three entries or $50 for 10 entries.

The fundraiser is open to residents of Scottsbluff, Gering and surrounding Panhandle communities. Winners will be announced Sept. 28.

For Jeff and his family, the fundraiser represents more than a chance to win a service or gift certificate. It is an opportunity for the community to surround a local family during one of the most difficult seasons of their lives.
