(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — A Scottsbluff teenager is facing multiple felony firearm charges after law enforcement allegedly uncovered social media photos showing him with a handgun equipped with a device that can convert it to fully automatic fire.
Rochne J. Gukeisen, 19, has been charged in Scotts Bluff County District Court with:
- Possession of a machine gun, short rifle or shotgun:** Class IV felony
- Unlawful possession of a firearm by a juvenile offender, first offense:** Class IV felony
According to an affidavit for an arrest warrant filed by the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, investigators obtained a search warrant for an Instagram account in June 2026.
Data returned by Meta allegedly included a photograph depicting Gukeisen holding a Glock-style handgun equipped with a “switch,” a device that can convert a semiautomatic firearm to fully automatic fire.
Investigators identified Gukeisen through prior law enforcement contacts and distinctive tattoos, according to the affidavit.
Court records show Gukeisen pled not guilty to both counts during his initial appearance.
Gukeisen appeared for a bond review hearing Sept. 25 in Scotts Bluff County District Court. A pretrial conference is scheduled for Oct. 21 at 1 p.m.
Charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
