MVA Car vs. Building
The report from citizen reporters on the ground came in immediately when they spotted a lady who had crashed through a broadway business front window.
Sounds like everything turned out ok because reports came in that the woman was transferred by Valley Ambulance without any major injuries, and the business was unoccupied.
UPDATE on Car vs Building from Scottsbluff Police Department
On Thursday, November 9, 2023 at approximately 11:55 AM, the Scottsbluff Police Department was dispatched to the 1500 Block of Broadway in reference to a vehicle versus building injury accident. Upon arrival officers observed a 2016 blue Ford Edge that had gone through the front window of 1507 Broadway. The driver of the vehicle was identified as, Patricia King, 78, of Mitchell. It was determined that the Ford Edge Patricia was driving was pulling into a parking stall in the 1500 Block of Broadway when the vehicle went over the curb and struck the building. The building was unoccupied at the time of the collision. The building did not appear to have been structurally compromised. Patrica was transport to Regional West Medical Center by Valley Ambulance. The Scottsbluff Police Department was assisted by the Scottsbluff Fire Department and Valley Ambulance.

Timely Reminder to Slow Down
We are hearing a lot of calls pertaining to livestock on the roadways.
Yesterday around 6:30 pm we heard this traffic…
* MVA Car vs Deer *
Mile Marker 77 on Hwy 71. Driver had to continue on to get service to call it in. Deer may still be in the roadway. Use caution on Hwy 71.

Loose Cow on Hwy 26
We have eyewitness reports that this happens a lot. Some people think it’s the same old girl.
Scanner traffic indicated that the loose cow was by a very large house just east of Morrill on Hwy 26 West.
A Trooper responded, but went 10-77 with her.

Word is she likes to play Hide-n-Seek, so please use caution and stay alert. It’s not only hunting season, but obviously fencing season too. Please Stay Alert!

Bayard Call Goes 10-18
There was some excitement yesterday when drones and K9 were called in and the NSP went lights and sirens. It may have been a combination of calls, but here’s what we recorded.
BREAKING
Scanner Traffic indicates a motor vehicle accident on Road 108. More info to come.
Also, multiple NSP enroute towards Bayard. One going 10-18.
They are also setting up a perimeter and asking for Drone and K9. Unsure if these calls are related. (Earlier there was a call in Bayard about a domestic where a female was being held against her will.)
“10-12 seen on county road east of their location headed back towards his house.”
