SUICIDE Awareness; Why?

Because All Lives Matter.

Someone who should know better asked on the scanner, “Why don’t we wait until the story comes out?”

When an incident like this happens, we know that law enforcement and first responders are doing what they need to do.

However, in these tragic situations, people ask, ‘what can we do?’

The one thing we can do is to pray, immediately… both for resolution and for comfort. We don’t necessarily pray for outcomes. We pray for God’s hand to be in the situation according to His Will.

Authentic corporate prayer doesn’t wait for days until the story comes out. That may be too late. Besides, on something like this, there won’t likely be any story that comes out.

Regardless of your opinion or even mine, it is not the nature of scanner traffic to wait until has everything has been investigated and decided what the story is.

We simply repeat the calls and try to offer sympathy and education on the topic.

In this case there is a serious Mental Health issue that some people are afraid to address. Hale Multimedia / Scanner has always been the media that is not afraid to speak up. Sure, some people don’t like me or us. We get that.

Our goal with this post is to break the stigma of mental illness. Over the past 3 years my wife and I have volunteered our time to create a podcast every week on human trafficking, child abuse, organ harvesting, medical fraud, police corruption, and the ugliest things that you can imagine. In fact, our slogan is “hard to listen to, but impossible to ignore.”

Nothing is sensational about these despicable acts of human cruelty. We are not attempting to sensationalize anything. These things disgust us so much that if anyone accuses us of anything close to that, they will be permanently unwelcome on any of our platforms.

Anyone accusing us of sensationalism should be absolutely ashamed.

When you are involved in as many ministries as we are, we’ve learned there’s no time for that kind of drama when it comes to serving others.

Our heart is with helping people.

We understand everyone’s got something they’re going through. If you need help, please reach out.

MVA Car vs Deer

* MVA 10-44 *
Car vs Deer Hwy 20 between mile marker 46 and 47. Deer is out of the roadway, no injuries.

Lately, it seems we could make this a standard post. We know it’s tough out there.

Just remember those deer can’t read the signs, and they often cross in places where they’re not supposed to. We are not blaming the deer. We just need to be hyper-aware of their presence right now.

However, did you hear about the lady that called in to the radio station and suggested maybe the Deer Crossing signs were confusing to the deer?

She said, “Aren’t they just crossing where they’re supposed to?”

She even went on to say that maybe a Stop Sign would be better.

Just a little radio humor to kick off your day. Send hate mail or your (clean) jokes to sbcoscanner@gmail.com.

Listen to the Scanner Feed

Incidentally, if you listen to the scanner and you notice that the timestamps don’t match up, it’s because the state patrol uses central time since dispatch is stationed in North Platte.

Listen to the scanner with this link https://www.diggingdeeper.net/listen or via any police scanner app. (Search for Scotts Bluff County)
