A widespread effort is ongoing to help those affected, and to survey the damage done by the April 26th tornadoes.
Here are some photos from the recent surveys by Nebraska Emergency Management Agency, assisted by the Army National Guard.




As the cleanup process continues, we’d like to salute the many volunteers who have already played a role in helping Nebraska communities struck to Tornadoes last Friday. From central to eastern Nebraska, hundreds of families have been impacted.
If you are looking to volunteer, contact your local emergency management agency to see what is needed and how you can help. In the Elkhorn area, Omaha Rapid Response has been organizing volunteer efforts.

On Wednesday morning, Nebraska Lt. Gov. Joe Kelly, along with both Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) officials flew on a Nebraska Army National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter.
They conducted damage surveillance and assessment over areas impacted by recent storms and tornadoes.
