PITTED, ARRESTED

(CUSTER COUNTY, Colo.) — It was a team effort between Huerfano County and Custer County that successfully put a potentially violent criminal behind bars.

At approximately 10 p.m., Custer deputies were notified that the Huerfano County Sheriffs office was in pursuit of a Black Toyota Sequoia entering Custer County on Highway 69. The driver was suspected of a violent crime in Huerfano.

At approximately 10:26 p.m. a Custer deputy trained to perform a tactical vehicle intervention (PIT maneuver) successfully stopped the Sequoia. There were no injuries to anyone. There was only minor scuff damage to the rear quarter panel of the Sequoia and no damage to the Custer Deputy’s heavy duty PIT bumper.

The driver was arrested by Huerfano and transported to their jail.

Nicholette Ann Galvez faces charges for crimes of violence, eluding, reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with an alcohol revocation on her drivers license and other charges.
