** Pursuit Initiated Hwy 87 **

Scanner traffic is indicating a lookout for a maroon sedan with no plates and no lights traveling on Highway 87. A trooper flipped around and was going to make a traffic stop when the driver took off. Unfortunately, the trooper had a flat tire and could not continue the pursuit. Dispatch asked for direction but we did not hear a response.

Standby for any updates that come across.

“Northbound, mile marker 72.”

“Four subjects running out of the vehicle into the ditch mile marker 73.”

Two in custody. Driver described as a Native American with a black sweater and long hair. They are not sure yet if the driver is one of the two in custody.

On a side note, while the trooper was attempting to fix his flat tire the Jack became lodged after the car fell onto it. A tow truck was called and was going to be on its way from Chadron when dispatch was advised by the trooper that a Good Samaritan stopped to help. 10-22 (cancel) that 10-46 (tow truck).

Sheridan County and NSP are working together to locate the two outstanding individuals. By outstanding, we mean on the loose.

Law enforcement now has accounted for all four of the suspects. The driver will be 10-15 or under arrest and is also reportedly 10-47 (drunk).

They’re headed to Sheridan County jail now with one male.

Another interesting note during the incident was that the driver locked his car when the four fled into the ditch. We heard the trooper say something like, we’re going to have to deal with that later.
