If you are a disciple of Jesus, then you are in a spiritual war. And if the idea of knowing one's enemy makes sense in a conventional battle, it makes even more sense in our spiritual battle because our enemy is stronger and the stakes are higher.

American culture is growing increasingly hostile toward Christianity. We are in the first stages of repression of Christian speech and actions, and even stronger measures may well follow.

Americans do not seem to take the threat of Islam seriously. In fact, research tells us that US citizens are essentially oblivious to the potential danger of radical Muslims.

American culture now resembles a stained glass window through which no light is shining. We are living in a world where anything goes, but nothing satisfies. Our moral compass seems no longer to have a 'true north.'

Materialism comes with a cost that is sometimes subtle and sometimes all too obvious. Far worse is how materialism can negatively affect our walk with God and how rampant it will become in the last days.

At the time of the Rapture, America as we know it could be obliterated. Can you imagine the chaos when all the godly people disappear, leaving only those who have rejected God? But out trust has never been in governments, civilizations or cultures. These institutions are helpful while they are hear, but they have never been worthy of our trust. Only God is worthy of our ultimate allegiance.

We rightly grieve to see so many rushing headlong toward Babylon like lemmings to the sea. But it's right that we also celebrate the coming triumph of good over evil.

The whole world will marvel at how God brings down a powerful enemy while preserving His people. We see growing disorder now and chaos ahead, but godless Russia is no match for the King of kings.

The stage is now set in Europe. Israel is back in her land, and the nations of the ancient Roman Empire are reunifying.
