Warmer Days Ahead

By NWS Cheyenne

January 19, 2024 – Cold temperatures getting you down? Well good news!

The Climate Prediction Center released the 6 to 10 Day Outlooks yesterday, which call for above-normal temperatures and near-normal to below-normal precipitation.

What is normal?

High Temperatures for late January range from 32 to 42 degrees in southeast WY and 38 to 42 degrees in the NE Panhandle.

The forecast for southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle is showing a tranquil forecast with warming temperatures.

It will be cold today for areas east of I-25, with teens in the Panhandle and 30s out west.

Warming trend begins Saturday as high pressure builds into the area. Looking like most folks will see 30s and 40s for daytime highs.

Snow returns to our western mountains Sunday onward into next week. Outside the mountains, the weather is expected to be dry.

Enjoy!
