Youth Activities Guide

It is said that it can be challenging in a small community to find things for youth to participate in. We can’t disagree, but we believe that it’s a matter of awareness, so we’d like to help!

We’re putting together this youth group and other activities directory to help parents and others to know what’s going on around the Panhandle for fun, wholesome, and educational activities.

Church Youth Groups

Mid-week

Grace Chapel – Jr & Sr High Youth Group Mondays 6:30 – 8:15 pm
Grace Chapel – N.O.W. (4 years old through 5th grade) Wednesdays at 6:00 – 7:45 pm
AWANA 3 yrs old to 8th grade Wednesdays 6:00 pm at Monument Bible Church
W@W for all grades Wednesdays 6:00 pm at WestWay Christian Church
JAM club for K-6th and Confirmation for 7th-8th Wednesdays 5:30 pm at Calvary Luthern Church
Reach Youth Ministry – Jr High starts at 6:00 pm and High School at 7:00 pm on Wednesdays at Mitchell Berean Church
Church of Christ, Bridgeport – Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. for K-12
Sonrise Church, Torrington – Wednesdays Youth Group 6-8th 6-7:15, 9-12th 7:45-9 pm with dinner in between.

Sundays

Ignite Youth Group for 7th-12th Sunday nights 5:30-8:00 pm at Monument Bible Church
Youth Group for both middle school (@ the garage) and high school (@ Bethany Robbins’) start at 6:30 Alliance Berean Church
Tweens (3:00 pm) and Rock Youth (6:00 pm) both meet Sunday evenings at The Rock Church
Northfield Teens – 6th-12th Sunday nights 6pm-8pm

Alliance has a new Fire Chief! The City of Alliance has hired Brad Schrum as its new Fire Chief, effective yesterday, October 1st. Schrum began his career with the Alliance Fire Department in 1979 as a firefighter EMT, and most recently served as Assistant Fire Chief. He has more than 48 years of experience with the department. Schrum also credited former Fire Chief Troy Shoemaker with establishing a strong foundation for training and maintaining the department's Insurance Services Office rating of a 3. Schrum will be formally recognized during the Alliance City Council meeting on October 6th at 5.30pm. Did you know that Panhandle Scanner is on every major social media platform? That's right.
