McCook Water Restriction

(MCCOOK, Neb.) — The City of McCook issued a MANDATORY WATER RESTRICTION on Wednesday. The restriction was due to a broken pipe at the City of McCook Water Treatment Plant, and they were temporarily unable to produce water.

They posted, “Until further notice, there is a MANDATORY restriction on usage.”

Only drinking and flushing were allowed at the time to avoid emptying water tanks. It was suggested that if you have outdoor irrigation on – please turn it off until repairs have been made.

The City of McCook Water Department went on to apologize for the inconvenience.

Late Wednesday night they reported, “The City of McCook Water Treatment Plant is back up and running.  The water restriction is now removed.  Thank you everyone for your cooperation while the repairs were being made.  Thank you also for the City Water Department’s hard work getting it restored.”
