Stolen Electric Lawn Mower

(MCCOOK, Neb.) — Our Community Watch Team has discovered a slightly disturbing situation in McCook. Here’s a story from our friend at Midwest media by Melanie.

UPDATE: No return of her mower as of 12:38 pm, Tuesday. People have been so extremely kind and she wants to say thank you to each of them! Her name is Mary, and she told me today that someone did mow her yard, but she has no mower and is more upset that someone took it in broad daylight than anything else. She does have a harder time getting around these days and is grateful for all the people offering to mow. But she lives on an extremely tight budget and feels bad she can’t pay someone to do it. She does not want to take advantage of anyone but is absolutely tickled when I share the kind words you have all offered.

Her mailing address is 805 West J Street McCook if anyone wants to help. I told her I would set up a ring camera and show her how to use it. We don’t need to double up, so if someone delivers a mower to her I will let everyone know asap. Same with a ring camera.

McCook friends – I know a very kind 77-year-old woman in McCook who recently purchased an electric lawn mower. She had it sitting outside while she charged the battery, and a pickup pulled up, and a couple of kids jumped out and TOOK HER LAWNMOWER.

She said she called the police but if someone you know suddenly has a new electric lawn mower – please inquire. She would really like for it to reappear in her yard. No questions asked.
