Corvette Stopped, Ferrari Arrested

(NORTH PLATTE, Neb.)  — Friday at approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 27, 2026, a trooper observed a Chevrolet Corvette speeding on Interstate 80 near North Platte, at mile marker 176.

The trooper attempted a traffic stop and saw the Corvette exit at mile marker 179 and begin traveling northbound toward Highway 30. The trooper clocked the vehicle traveling at over 110 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

As the trooper attempted the traffic stop, the driver refused to stop and began fleeing westbound on Highway 30, causing a pursuit to ensue. The driver continued fleeing and turned northbound on Highway 83. After several miles, the driver stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. The trooper located identifying information inside the vehicle. The entire pursuit lasted approximately 11 minutes.

The driver, Albert Ferrari, 24, was located Saturday morning and booked into Lincoln County Jail for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, and obstruction.
