(MITCHELL, Neb.) — Friday, January 24, 2025 scanner traffic indicated a one vehicle MVA near Cook Oil Road.
At 6:25 p.m. Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a Deputy on the scene of a one vehicle accident. Unpon arrival MVFD crews determined that a west bound pickup had lost control and rolled into the east bound lanes just west of the Cook Oil Road intersection. MVFD responded with three trucks and six personnel. Crews returned to the station around 7:30 p.m.

We have indications that this may have been caused by black ice. Please use caution on Hwy 26.
